Tru Photo Books

Terms of sale

Version 2026-10-29 · last updated 29 October 2026

1. Who we are

These terms are between you and Tru Photo Books, Cairo, Egypt.

Phone: +20 102 138 4170 · Email: info@trubooth.com

2. Your order

Before you order, checkout shows you the book, its price in Egyptian pounds, our delivery estimate and how you will pay. When you place the order, you agree to these terms as they read that day; the version is shown at the top of this page. Your private order page is your record of the order, so keep its link.

3. Approving your proof

Before you place your order, you confirm with your full name that you have checked the cover title, the names, the dates and how each photo is cropped. We start printing only after you approve. Approving does not take away your rights if the book arrives damaged, faulty, or different from what you approved.

4. What you get

The book described at checkout and in your proof: A5 (148 x 210 mm), hardcover, with 200gsm matte pages. The cover, its colour included, is printed in ink on matte paper. A screen shows colour with light and a page shows it with ink, so the two never match exactly, and a small difference in colour is not a fault. Trimming can move the edge of a page by up to 1.5 mm.

5. Paying

You pay in cash: to the courier when the book is delivered, or at the booth when you collect it. Nothing is charged in advance.

6. How we reach you about your order

When you order, you agree in a box of its own that our team may phone you, or message you on WhatsApp, at the mobile number you give, about that order: to confirm your details, to ask about your book’s design, and to arrange its delivery or collection. We cannot make and deliver your book without reaching you, so an order cannot be placed without it. Please keep that number reachable until your book is delivered or collected, and tell us if it changes. We use it only for your order, never for offers or advertising. If you would rather we did not phone you, tell us and we will only write. Our Privacy Notice says more.

7. Printing

A bookstore we work with prints your book from the PDF of the book you approved. We send it that PDF on WhatsApp, and nothing about you beyond what is printed in your book. We start making your book only after you have approved your proof and placed your order.

8. Delivery and collection

The price at checkout includes delivery to your address, in any governorate checkout lists. We book a courier for your parcel ourselves, and give them only what delivery needs. Once your book is on its way, your order page shows its tracking number, if we have one. If you chose to collect your book from one of our booths, we tell you on WhatsApp when it is ready; give your name or your order’s reference at the booth, and pay there. A gift is delivered to you, the buyer, never to the person it is for: you hand it over yourself.

The delivery estimate checkout shows is our estimate, not a promise of a day. It counts from the day you place your order, and leaves out public holidays and the days we are waiting on you, such as for an answer on WhatsApp or a photo to replace. The bookstore, the courier, or something outside our control, such as a closure or a power cut, can make a book later. If your book will be later than the estimate, we tell you on WhatsApp with a new date. You can wait for it, or cancel before printing starts and pay nothing, as section 9 says.

9. Changing your mind

You can cancel before we start printing: message us with your order reference. You have paid nothing, so there is nothing to refund. Each book is made from your own photos, so once printing has started it cannot be returned because you changed your mind.

10. Faulty or damaged books

If your book arrives damaged, faulty, or different from the proof you approved, tell us within 30 days of delivery or collection. Send your order reference and photos of the problem. We will reprint the book or refund what you paid, whichever you prefer.

11. Your photos

By ordering, you confirm that you have the right to print every photo in your book: you took it, or the person who owns it has given you permission. We may refuse to print photos that are unlawful or that we believe infringe someone else’s rights. If we refuse, you pay nothing. If someone makes a claim against us because of photos you had no right to use, you are responsible for that claim.

12. Keep your originals

Our Privacy Notice says how long we keep the photos you upload. After that we may delete them, so keep your own copies.

13. Our responsibility

If your book is damaged, faulty or different from what you approved, we reprint it or refund what you paid for it, as section 10 says. We are not responsible for losses beyond what you paid for the book, except where Egyptian law says otherwise.

14. Law and complaints

Egyptian law applies to these terms, and nothing in them takes away rights the law gives you. For a question or a complaint, message us on Instagram at @trubooth or email info@trubooth.com. You can also contact the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency.
