✦ Tru Photo Books
An anniversary or Valentine’s gift: your story in one book
Egypt celebrates love twice, on 14 February and 4 November. Either is a good day for a book of the two of you.
In short
A Tru Photo Book is an anniversary or Valentine’s gift made from a couple’s own photos: how you met, the engagement and katb ketab, the wedding, the trips and the ordinary days, in an A5 hardcover printed and bound in Cairo. Egypt marks Valentine’s Day on 14 February and its own Love Day (عيد الحب المصري) on 4 November. You lay the book out online, approve the proof, and pay in cash when it reaches your door or when you collect it at a Tru booth, so it can stay a surprise.
Why a book of the two of you
Every couple has thousands of photos together and almost none of them printed. They sit in two phones, a shared album and a photographer’s link, and the story they tell is lost in the scrolling. A book puts it in order, from the first photo you took together to last month, and it is the one gift that is entirely about the two of you.
It also asks for something a bought gift does not: an evening of going back through your years and choosing. Your husband, wife, fiancé or fiancée will see that on every page.
Your story in five chapters
A couple’s book reads best in the order it happened. A simple plan:
How you met
The first photos together, the place, the friends who were there.
The engagement and katb ketab
The ring, the families, the signing, the first photos as an engaged or married couple.
The wedding
A few portraits and the moments only you remember. Give one photo a full page.
The places
Trips, summers in Sahel, the café you always go back to.
The ordinary days
The kitchen, the car, the children if they have come. End with a recent photo of the two of you.

Anniversary and Valentine’s photobook questions
When is Egypt’s Love Day?
On 4 November. Egypt’s own day for love, proposed by the journalist Mustafa Amin, is celebrated alongside the international Valentine’s Day on 14 February.
What is a good anniversary gift for my husband or wife in Egypt?
A gift made from your life together: a photobook of your story, from how you met to now. Tru Photo Books prints A5 hardcover books from your own photos in Cairo and delivers across Egypt, paid in cash on delivery.
What should go in an anniversary photobook?
Your story in order: how you met, the engagement and katb ketab, the wedding, the trips and the everyday. A 26-page book holds about 35 to 60 photos; a 50-page book about 70 to 120.
How do I keep the photobook a surprise from my partner?
The book is delivered to you, so choose an address where you will receive it, or collect it at a Tru booth. Payment is in cash on delivery or collection, so nothing appears on a card statement.
Can the cover carry our names and wedding date?
Yes. The cover can carry a title, a line under it and a year, in Arabic or English typefaces. The Wedding & Katb Ketab edition also prints the title and date on the spine.
Can I use photos saved from Instagram?
Use the original files from your phone’s gallery, Google Photos or iCloud instead. Photos saved from social media or forwarded on WhatsApp are compressed and print soft; the shop checks every photo’s sharpness before you order.
