How many photo booth prints do you need for your event?

Enough that nobody leaves empty-handed, without booking more than the night needs. A calculator, and the reasoning behind every number.

In short

How many photo booth prints you need depends on four numbers: your guests, the share who use the booth, how many people go in each session, and how many copies each session prints. One print is a 4 × 6 inch sheet that carries two strips. A standard Tru Booth booking in Cairo, on the North Coast or in El Gouna covers up to 216 prints or 4 hours, whichever comes first, and extra prints come in packs of 108. Use the calculator below, then send us your numbers on WhatsApp or through the inquiry form and we confirm.

What counts as a photo booth print

Before any maths, one definition. A print is one sheet of 4 × 6 inch photo paper carrying two strips, cut in two after printing. One session, two keepsakes.

Our standard booking counts the same way: up to 216 prints or 4 hours, whichever comes first, so up to 432 strips. Extra prints come in packs of 108, which is 216 more strips.

So the real question is how many sessions your guests will run, and how many sheets each one should print.

Set your guest count, then adjust the three assumptions. The result is an estimate, not a quote, and the starting values are reasonable guesses, not measured averages.

Each copy is one 4 × 6 sheet with two strips.

35 prints

About 35 sessions · 70 strips to take home

Fits a standard booking (up to 216 prints or 4 hours, whichever comes first).

The four numbers behind the estimate

The calculator works out sessions as guests × share ÷ people per session, then prints as sessions × copies. What each input means:

Guests
Use the number you expect on the night, not the number of invitations. For a brand activation, use the people you expect to reach the stand, not everyone who walks through the venue.
Share who use the booth (starts at 70%)
An assumption, not a statistic. Some guests never step in and others go in again and again; 70% is a middle to start from. Raise it for a young crowd or a booth beside the dance floor, lower it for a formal dinner. Repeat visits are not counted separately, so if you expect many, push the share up.
People per session (starts at 3)
Couples go in as two; friends and cousins squeeze in as four or more. Fewer people per session means more sessions and more prints, so if your crowd is mostly couples, lower it.
Copies per session (starts at 1)
Each copy is one 4 × 6 sheet with two strips, so one copy covers two people. If everyone in a group of three or four should leave with their own strip, set it to 2; we confirm the copies per session when you book.

How many photo booth prints per guest?

There is no fixed number per guest, but there is a simple rule. If one strip per session is enough, you need one print per session. If everyone in the booth should take a strip home, you need about one print for every two people who use it, since each print carries two strips.

With the calculator’s starting values (70% of guests, three per session, one copy), that works out at roughly one print for every four guests. Set copies to 2 so everyone in a group of three gets a strip, and it becomes about one print for every two guests, with a spare strip from each session.

How far 216 prints go

With 70% using the booth and three per session, roughly the guest count a standard booking covers before you need a pack of 108. Calculator numbers, not measurements.

How many photo strips for a wedding?

At a wedding the strip is a keepsake. If every friend in a group should leave with their own, set copies to 2: a group of four leaves with four strips, and a group of three has one spare.

At 70% and three per session, two copies stay within 216 prints up to about 460 guests. Above that, or with many repeat visits, add a pack of 108 when you book.

An engagement or a katb ketab works the same way with a smaller list. For 150 guests at the same settings, the estimate is 70 prints, about a third of a standard booking.

How the event type changes the inputs

Suggested starting points, not rules. Adjust them to the crowd you know.

Why two strips on every sheet matters

Because every print carries two strips, one copy per session is already two keepsakes: one for the guest and one for a friend, or for the guestbook if you keep one. A couple leaves with one each. So copies only need to cover half the group: one for a pair, two for three or four, three for five or six.

How to decide how many prints to book

  1. Start from the real guest count

The number you expect on the night or, for an activation, the people who will reach the stand.

  2. Decide on copies first

Is one strip per session enough, or should everyone take one home? That choice usually moves the result most.

  3. Set the share and group size

Think about your crowd and where the booth will stand. When in doubt, lean generous.

  4. Compare with 216

Well under 216, a standard booking covers you. Close to it or above it, add packs of 108.

  5. Send us the numbers

Send your guest count, date and venue on WhatsApp or through the inquiry form, and we confirm the right booking.

Photo booth prints: common questions

How many photo booth prints do I need for 200 guests?

With the calculator’s starting values (70% use the booth, three per session, one copy), about 47 prints. With two copies per session so everyone gets a strip, about 94. Both fit within a standard booking of 216 prints.

Is one print the same as one strip?

No. One print is a 4 × 6 inch sheet that carries two strips, cut after printing. So 216 prints means up to 432 strips.

How many photo strips do I need for a wedding of 400 guests?

At 70% and three per session, about 94 sessions. With two copies each, that is 188 prints, or 376 strips, which still fits a standard booking. If you expect many repeat visits, add a pack of 108.

What if we run out of prints?

The booking covers up to 216 prints or 4 hours, whichever comes first. If you may go over, add packs of 108 when you book. Whether a pack can be added on the night, we confirm when you book.

Can every guest get their own strip?

Each print already gives two strips. If you want more copies per session so every guest in a bigger group leaves with one, tell us when you book and we confirm what is possible.

Is the calculator a quote?

No. It is an estimate from your numbers. Send them on WhatsApp with your date and venue, and we reply with a clear quote.
