How to choose a wedding photo booth in Egypt

A practical checklist to use before you book anyone, including us. Each point covers what to ask, why it matters, and how we answer it at Tru Booth.

In short

To choose a wedding photo booth in Egypt, check twelve points before you book: booth type, prints included and what happens after the limit, print quality, custom design, the attendant, setup and access, space and power, offline operation, hall rules, timing in the programme, add-ons, and the details a quote needs. Tru Booth rents enclosed and open photo booths for weddings across Greater Cairo, the North Coast (Sahel) and El Gouna. Send your date and venue on WhatsApp or through the inquiry form, and we reply with a quote.

What to check before you book a wedding photo booth

A photo booth is one of the few wedding vendors your guests use with their own hands, so every detail shows: a booth that runs out of prints or a printer nobody is watching is noticed by the whole hall.

The questions below work with any photo booth company in Egypt. Ask them, compare the answers, and choose the one that fits your night. After each point we give our own answer, so you can see exactly how we work.

How to choose a wedding photo booth: the checklist

  1. Decide the booth type first

Enclosed gives guests privacy and candid photos; open fits a big group in one frame. Decide this before you compare anything else. Our answer: the Closed booth, in The Black or The Red on the same package, or the Open booth for big groups.

  2. Ask how many prints are included, and what happens after the limit

Get the number and the hours in writing, and ask what happens when the prints run out: does printing stop, or can you add more? Our answer: a standard booking covers up to four hours or 216 prints, whichever comes first. Extra prints can be added in packs of 108.

  3. Check print quality and size

Ask what the booth prints on and how fast, and ask to see a real strip rather than a screen. Our answer: strips print within seconds on a dye-sublimation photo printer, on 4 × 6 inch photo paper, two strips to a sheet, then cut.

  4. Ask about the custom design, and when you will see it

The strip is what guests keep. Ask whether a custom design is included, what it can carry, and when you will see it before the day. Our answer: every booking includes a custom strip design with your names, date, colours, logo or monogram, as a three-frame strip, a four-frame strip, or a bespoke concept that can use AI-rendered artwork on request. We design it before your wedding.

  5. Confirm an attendant for the whole booking

Ask whether someone stays with the booth from start to finish, and what they do. Our answer: a Tru attendant is on site throughout the booking. They set up and test before doors open, guide guests through the booth, keep the printer running and pack everything away.

  6. Agree setup time and access

The booth should be ready before your first guest arrives. Ask how early the company needs to get into the hall, and check that the hall allows it. Our answer: we set up and test the camera and printer before doors open, so we need access before then.

  7. Check the space and the power

Ask for the footprint, the height and the number of power outlets the booth needs. Then walk the hall and find a spot that fits, near an outlet, where guests pass. Our answer: the Closed booth needs about 2 × 2 metres and stands about 2 metres tall; for the Open booth, we confirm the space for your venue. Either needs one power outlet and a visible, high-traffic spot.

  8. Make sure it works without Wi-Fi

A booth that depends on the hall internet depends on something nobody controls on a full night. Ask whether it runs offline. Our answer: our booths run fully offline, so a weak signal never stops them.

  9. Check the hall rules

Halls and hotels may have their own conditions for outside vendors: access times, where equipment can stand, which outlets you can use. Ask the hall early and pass the answers to your booth company. Our answer: send us the hall name with your date, and tell us any conditions the hall has given you.

  10. Plan where the booth sits in the programme

Guests use a booth when they are free to leave their seats: as they arrive and wait for the zaffa, and once the dance floor opens. During the zaffa, the first dance and dinner, all eyes are on the two of you, so expect the booth to be quieter. Place it between the tables and the dance floor, and line the booked hours up with the free parts of the night. Our answer: a standard booking covers up to four hours, so share your programme when you ask for a quote.

  11. Ask about add-ons

Decide on add-ons before you compare quotes, so you compare like with like. Our answer: you can add video messages (The Truth Room), where guests record short, raw messages inside the booth and you receive every clip, uncut, in a private cloud folder within a week. You can also order a Tru Photo Book: an A5 hardcover with 26 or 50 pages, printed and bound in Cairo.

  12. Send the right details for a quote

Send everything in one message (see the list below). Our answer: send it on WhatsApp or through the inquiry form, and we reply with a clear quote. For weddings outside Cairo, the quote includes transport.

Questions to ask a photo booth company before you book

The same checklist as short questions, ready to paste into a message:

  • Is the booth enclosed or open, and which finishes do you have?
  • How many prints are included, how many hours does that cover, and what happens when they run out?
  • What do you print on, what size are the prints, and can I see a real strip?
  • Is a custom design included, what can it carry, and when will I see it?
  • Is an attendant there for the whole booking, and what do they do?
  • How early do you need access to the hall, and when will the booth be ready?
  • How much space and how many power outlets does the booth need?
  • Does the booth need Wi-Fi?
  • Is there anything I need to arrange with the hall?
  • Which add-ons do you offer, such as video messages or a photobook?
  • What do you need from me to send a quote?

What to send for a wedding photo booth quote

To get an accurate quote in one reply, send:

  • Your wedding date.
  • The hall or venue, and the area or city.
  • Your rough guest count.
  • The booth you prefer: The Black, The Red, the Open booth, or not sure yet.
  • Your programme: when guests arrive, the zaffa, dinner and dancing.
  • Add-ons you are considering: video messages, a photobook, extra prints.
  • Design ideas: your names as you want them printed, your date, your colours, and a monogram if you have one.
